Anchored in Connection, Growing Together

OUR APPROACH

At the heart of my work is the belief that people heal in relationships with safe, attuned others. I provide attachment-based, trauma-informed therapy that supports children and families in building safety, connection and regulation—especially during times of stress and transition.

OUR “TRUE NORTH”

with a little help from C.S. Lewis…

Children are not a distraction from more important work. They ARE the most important work.

In the end, the legacy that matters won’t be what you built in the world. It will be who you raised and whether they felt safe, seen and loved in your presence.
— C. S. Lewis

What is Play Therapy?

Where play is the language and toys are the words…

Play therapy is an evidence-based approach that recognizes how children naturally understand and express their world. While adults often rely on words to work through challenges, children communicate best through play.

Play gives children a safe and familiar way to express feelings they may not yet have words for—such as worry, anger, sadness, or fear. Through toys, stories, and imagination, children can work through experiences that feel overwhelming, confusing, or stressful. In therapy, this allows children to release and process big emotions in a healthy way, rather than acting them out at home or school.

Play therapy also helps children feel safe in their bodies and emotions. With the support of a caring therapist, children learn to calm their nervous systems, build emotional awareness, and develop confidence in their ability to cope. Over time, difficult experiences become easier to manage and feel less overwhelming.
